Skirt wire?

  I've been pouring, painting and skirting my own jigs when I have spare time, I use the rubber bands to hold the skirts on. I would like to learn how to use wire to hold the skirts on. I don't even know where to begin, I'm pretty handy and I'm sure I could figure it out but like anything else I'm sure there are tips to making it easier.

I use 18-22 ga wire.  Use a colar and put the skirt almost all the way on.  Then wrap the wire around and twist tie it.  it will take a few to get the feel but its simple to do.

I use Zip Ties when i have to secure my spinnerbait/jig skirts... never made my own but every time i go to throw a bait with a skirt, i use a small black or white zip tie, and it works great.
