Here is a little thing that I use to catch more fish on my suspending jerkbaits. I'll be posting more videos throughout the year so keep looking.

Good tip and video  ~c~

However, instead of just posting a video link, if you could, can you also write a small description post to go with it?  thanks  :)

I've been doing that for years to my older rogues  :-* Keep in mind as you're playing with weighting the hook that the buoyancy is different at different depths. A bait that suspends perfect in a foot of water will float up in 5 or 6 feet of water, conversely a bait that slightly sinks in a foot of water will eventually find the it's neutral buoyancy somewhere as it falls.

It's a game of experimenting :-* part of what makes it fun and interesting.

Heres one I did. Forgive the camera work.

Ive heard it both ways....is it better for the bait to sink head first or tail first....or straight??????

I know guys that are extremists when it comes to jerkbaits and they carry multiples of the same bait that do all three. Claiming there are times they want it different and no one way is a guarantee.
