Greetings to everyone ~shade,

First of all a big thanks to TCTC and Lockjaw for making Gail and I feel at home there at Grand Bayou and at the Classic Shootout  ~c~.  We had a great time meeting everyone and had some great food while there too.  Our road trip to Louisiana and back home was enjoyable also.

The fishing was good although my only big fish 19 3/4 inches was caught during practice on Friday and not during the actual tournament was a bummer ;D :(.  Gail and I caught fish at every spot we stopped at on the lake during Saturday and Sunday.  I never fished so hard for a 12 inch fish in all my life  lo.  And I never been stuck so many times either on mud flats ~rant ~xyz ~b~

It was great meeting and to talk face to face with people I've talking to on line for the past 1 1/2 yrs.

Ron thanks for your assistance in getting to Barksdale Credit union up in Bossier City.  While there in Bossier City we stopped and spent some $$$$ at your Bass Pro Shop and at Joe's Crab Shack too. :)

Once we got back home I had a new MinnKota Fortrex trolling motor installed and found out that sometime during the Shootout my hydraulic steering blew out both seals on the Yamaha ~xyz.  I had thought the steering was acting a little stiff Sunday :-\.  The guys at Marine Outlet in Temple got me hooked up in and out in a couple days ~c~.  Gail and I went out on Stillhouse lake Friday and got blown off by the high winds.

While there I met a female bass angler who was an ABA member and prefishing for a tourney.  She had bent the shaft on her MotorGuide Trolling motor and somehow or anther got the foot pedal cable disconnected.  While her and Gail chatted I repaired her foot pedal on she was able to continue to prefish in the high winds.  It was interesting listening to her and Gail talk about fishing tourneys.

Pawpaw and I managed a day on the water on Saturday the 26th 8).  We spent the day getting sunburned on Lake Waco ~sweat  We had a total of 10 bites with 3 bass making it in the livewell (wished I'd had those during the Shootout) :'(.  I'm scanning the 13 pages and if the fishing reports not already posted I'll get one in there.

Anyway I'm back in Iraq now getting things in order so I can head back to the office tomorrow.

Again thanks to everyone that was at the UBCS Shootout we had a Great Time.
