None of them were huge...the largest was about 29inches, but it was sure fun to catch all three within about 2 hours.  Sorry for the crappy hand held cell phone pics....thats all i had...

This one i caught running a small Mepps red and white bladed spinner farily quickly about 2 feet under the surface...

The second fish i caught on a twin willow leaf spinner with a red and white skirt...the largest of the 3...

Then the smallest of the three, ate the largest lure i threw that day...running a shad colored ratt-l-trap(i forget the actual size, but it's fairtly good sized)

Took my buddy out to the spot about an hour later, didn't catch anything besides a small bass....weird.

pike are outstanding athletes!  I take a special trip every year to find a couple or '100'...  ;D

most of them are 'that size' (24-28 inches)...a double handfull go over 30"...with a chance at some real magnums (20# plus fish)...

favorite lure:  #5 Mepps Bucktail - gold blade, white bucktail...

here's my kid from when he was 15...with one of his first South Dakota pike...typical little snot rocket...and we had an absolute blast with them!  (water temps were 59-60)

Isaiah was 6-2, 200 lb in this...and has freakishly long fingers (bass player)...this pike was probably 26" or so...great fish!

Not quite as big as yours!  Stay after them!

Those are great and fun fish to catch. I caught a few of them when I was living in the UK.
