tournament scale

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas on making a tournament scale. I purchased a OHAUS 50lb digital scale and it has rs-232 bi-directional capability, but I want some ideas on a remote display. The ones i found are about 800, and I am wondering if i can use a flat panel monitor instead. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I would imagine you will have to buy the remote display for the type scale you have. The display has to be compatible to to the scale in order for it to work. I'm sure someone that is more tech savy than me can give you some better insight.
