Chase from TFF posted these and asked if I could share. Great images showing the ability of Humminbird Side and Sown Imaging to capture a Throw Net used to gather baitfish.

Captain Blane Andersen added this image to another post. He missed the bait but got his throw net!

It amazes me what you can see on those images. I am too much of a tech freak for my own good. I want one and have no real need for it.

You don't have to Fish to enjoy Side Imaging. I have helped many Search & Rescue Units set up boat and have numerous Pleasure Boaters that enjoy seeing looking for what's under the water's surface! It's kind of fun looking around your lakes to see what all is under there. My lake all the old timers told me every bridge was demolished - I've found over 20 Fully intact! Lots of other cool things like boats, tires, livestock tanks, etc that are still laying on the bottom.

Oh I love fishing that's not the problem. The problem I have is the cost vs. the return. I only fish for fun and can't justify spending that kind of money for fun. If I was fishing tournaments and making money at this wonderful sport, I could definitely justify spending the money. I may just have to talk my husband into getting it to help him "bet me" since that seems to be the fun of it for him. We have an old boat and an even older humminbird that doesn't do very well at all in the shallow waters we fish. Oh one day....

You have to make that decision on if it's worth it too you but I look at Time Management aspect. If you only have a few hours each day, week or month to fish...I would rather be catching than casting. Side Imaging helps put you in the most productive areas so your odds of catching more fish per outing is higher. To me this is more important to those that have limited amount of time on the water than those that get to fish everyday. IT allows you to quickly find the fish and get the most out of your time on the water whether it's a few hours or a whole day.
