donations

hey folks derekj here from mca bass club , just wondering if any of ya'll had any info on soliciting donations for our end of the year banquit . we have said that we were going to try this for the last couple of years but have not done it. so i thought you know there is not a better way to go about this than to ask our extended family how they might go about doing so .so if ya'll have any idea's or a generic letter that you use we would be most grateful. thanks in advance for all your help.

Derekj, one of he most effective ways we have found to raise money is to hold a raffle.

Last year we had everyone bring a new fishing lure to a couple tournaments. This generated a surplus of lures, then we bought a tackle bag to go with it. We sold tickets for a shot at all that we had gathered. I think we raise almost 900 dollars. The Lock Jaw Bass club bought a shot gun and is having a raffle for it.

It takes some work but is definately effective
