Due to the fact I live in the snow country and they use salt, sand, and calcium chloride on the roads for close to 6 months out of the year, corrosion of trailer light plugs can be a big problem.  Normally I take a heavy duty zip lock bag, spray some WD-40 in it and wrap it around my trailer plug and tape it off.  This year will rooting around for a small pint sized zip lock bag I found some balloons I planned on using some day if I ever decided to go shiner fishing.  They are small and round and a perfect fit over the trailer plug.  Slid the tube from a can of WD-40 into the balloon after putting it on the plug, gave it a good shot and I was done.  Quick, simple, and easy.

I got one of those custom fit covers that goes on my truck plug, I even kept some electric protectant goop in it. This spring I took the cover off and the ground was rusted off inside of it, lol dang salt. Gonna try this method this year.
