Snagging

Does anyone else round here go snagging. here in missouri there is a snagging season for spoonbill. use to do it all the time but not so much now.

it can be if ya hook into a bigun. the biggest i have seen caught was a 6' 97 lber by my grandpa many years ago. my father inlaw does it every year but im usually working so i dont get to go much

I've done it a fewtimes years ago for salmon up in the state of washington. If you have ever hooked a Bass in the side or the tail you know they feel like a real big one so you can think what a 20lb salmon or one of them spoon bills fill like

i remember that fish pulled us up and down that river for at least an hour. then after we tied it to the side of the boat it was swimming and pulling us up the river. didnt have to use the motor very much thanks to him

Snagging is really popular with the older Korean folks in both sea and fresh water. They are just trying to snag everything and anything for food. Mainly seen in deep country ponds and lakes.

Not my style of fishing though.

Mine either BK but when your doing it for food that's a diffrent story

People do it here at the locks on the river, but I just cant make myself do it.  I dont have a problem with anyone that does it, its just not for me.  I would rather catch them in the mouth.  Good luck to anyone that does it, and have fun.
