yes, thanks for sharing this...and very nice comments Donald...recognized a few other folks on that comment list...

I can't help but thing this might be the best thing to happen to the BASS brand in a very very long time...it needs some stability.  It needs someone at the top who cares about it and the folks who make up the organization...

I think this new group looks to be 'that'...

Baron, I know that there's a whole big industry surrounding pros and their career paths.  Still the vast majority of BASS anglers are folks 'like me'...we all love the fish with a passion...outdoors, friends...comraderie, competition...

Some of us want to make it a career...others just want to enjoy it for what it is...


What's really cool is that we all get along and respect/support each other typically...I admire the folks who try and climb that mountain that is competitive angling at the highest levels...or even the 'middle' levels.  That takes a lot of effort and no small amount of talent.

Along with the folks who also freely talk/share about the sport and techniques...


Finally, I'd be remiss if I also didn't acknowledge the tremendous advancements in tackle, techniques, knowledge and equipment that have come to all of us anglers as a direct result of tournament competition...

It's really a very cool organization from the roots of the grass all the way to the seed heads...

I spent a lot of time watching the events online this year and was impressed with the on the water updates, in boat camera's and the candor of Zona and Tommy on the online stuff vers the TV stuff.
ESPN did a good job of coverage compared to the FLW. (I tried to keep up with their stuff too)

Hopefully it will continue to be as good or better as they get more internet savvy.
