Vandenberg Bass Club Members,

I just wanted to introduce myself to the club. I just found out about the site and you guys. Well first off, my name is Dustin Isbell and I've been here in Cali for 2yrs. Been fishing the local lakes for about a year an half now. I'm originally from Texas and was raised on bass fishing. I have a green Nitro 750 with a white Tahoe pulling her. Owned it for about a year now. Ive fish some local tournaments (Gold Coast) back when it was still going. Mainly just been fishing for fun. Looking to get back into it though. I also do a lot of fishing on the base lakes. My favorite presentation is Texas rig or Top water. Trying to learn this Drop Shot rig out here in Cali. :help: I work in 532 TRS with TomG. Well hope to get to know you guys and maybe do a little fishing with y'all. so give me a call if you need someone to go to the lake with I'm always down to go. 588-7850. thanks

Dustin

Dustin,

Welcome to the forum!  I'm the guy you met at the gas station a few months back.  Sorry I haven't had a chance to fish with you yet. My partner just left for Korea last week, so hopefully once I get back from a couple of TDY's we'll get a chance to meet up.

BTW - If you're looking for a tournament partner there's another guy on here "Cal" that has been looking for one.  He should chime in shortly.

Thanks for telling me about the forum. I forgot the name of it after we talked and then it popped into my head. Let me know when your ready to go out. Just give me a couple of days heads up. Yeah Tom told me about Cal, i just PM him. Later

Welcome Dustin,

I'm like you coming from Texas, it took me about 3 years to even pick up a drop shot rod I didn't even consider it.  It's definately worth learning!  I will usually learn one of these western techniques during the off season when i have the patience too.  Hopefully will see you around, ABA starts up in Oct.
