Sandusky Bay

I grew up in Ohio and my father used to take me fishing in Sandusky Bay (70's - early 80's).  We would cross the bridge from Bay View and go to the right near the railroad tracks and walk out on those tracks and fish.  I remember where we parked it always said No Parking but they never enforced it.  We used to do pretty well catching perch out off the tracks.  Do people still fish off the tracks there?  Is there anyplace to park?  I am coming out to Ohio this summer and would like to go fishing so I'm checking my options. Thanks.
