LOCH "pickerel" RAVEN....

I fished the Loch quite a bit this month. Maybe its me but the spawn really confused me this year as the bass were not acting in the way I have grown acustomed to over the last few years......I think the ever-changing weather really screwed the bass up to. I think that most of the bass spawned in April on the full-moon??? Water temps were in the mid-60's by then. I saw fish on beds but not nearly as many as years past and my spawn fluke-bite was a dud. I was really looking forward to that bite! Over the last 2 weeks, without exaggerating, I caught nearly 200 pickerel. 25-35 pickerel in one day is ridiculous! I wonder what they are doing to the bass popluation??? I was throwing traps in 6-10' of water and the pickerel wouldnt leave it alone (we need to have a pickerel tx and then take all of them to a food bank) LOL!! Last week, I was fishing the "log jam" and caught a 34" Northern Pike on a ratltrap....what a fight and what a beautiful fish! Saturday, I fished with BASSTHUMB from 530-1030am and we did pretty good in Hamptons and Pearces. We located some incredible foundations and structure that I had no idea was in the LOCH with his new HUMMINBIRD downscan/sidescan....that unit IS worth the money. Congrats to BASSTHUMB for winning his club tx on Sunday at the Loch. Guess the hard work paid off! BUT WE GOTTA DO SOMETHING ABOUT THOSE PICKEREL!!!

i agree 150% had the same problem the past 2 weeks. we did catch quite a few bass in between thou. its quite disappointing when you get a monster hit and its fighting real hard, your thinking its a lunker...then it surfaces and its one of those ugly things had it happen to me countless times sunday. Also they have a habit of cutting off $8 lures as soon as you set the hook.

Thanks man....i defeinately earned that win, because of the extra time i spent prefishing with ya!!          the humminbird is amazing            ...can't describe it any other way.   can't wait to start downloading the pics of the structure that we found.

To Stefish.. i was about 100 yards from you in my boat "Get the Net" when you caught the 19" smallmouth... Nice catch dude... you seemed very happy... congrats!!!!!!!

Im all in for a Pickeral Tournament.... sounds like fun to me!!!!!! When? ...

Just a few suggestions on some rule changes compared to bass tournaments....

#1 NO LIVEWELLS ALLOWED
#2 Only Dead fish will be weighed.
#3 A 2LB PENALTY FOR ANY FISH WEIGHED IN ALIVE
