Just bought new Nitro Z-8 with a Motor Guide Pro series 70 lb thrust. When I am operating the trolling motor and make a turn the shaft folds in towards the bow of the boat. As soon as I direct the boat to go straight again it pops back out to where it is supposed to be. This happens whether I'm on 24 volt and 5th speed or 12 volt on 2nd speed. I previously had a charger with a 70 lb thrust and it did not do that. Am I missing some thing here. I tried to tighten the handle where the motor clamps on and it is as tight as its gonna get. Please help!

There should be a clamp that holds the trolling motor shaft to the trolling motor brace. There should be a knob on top of that clamp this allows you to adjust the motor up and down for water depth. There should also be two knobs on each side of the trolling motor. The two knobs on each side of the trolling motor are the two that you need to tighten to prevent what you are describing. Does that make sense?
