Bayou Bandit

Hi guys ,new here but Ive got a question, I have a 05 Ranger 185VS with a 150 Vmax on it w/out jackplate. Until I added my hds units to the boat I thought the boat was running in the low 60's according to GPS speed I'm going 53 to 55 max. This is with a 23p 3 blade prop. I know the boat is rated for 175 and rangers arent speed boats but would I benefit much with a jackplate or should I try a different pitched prop? Any help would be appreciated, thanks :help:

Unfortunatly, when the GPS Units came out, it broke a many of mens hearts! :(
But really I think that boat should run 60ish....not many times when a jackplate hurts, its usually beneficail....
