windy Pool 13

I decided it was to windy to fish, so I started on my honey do list.  After checking off a few things I had to go fishing.  But I did not want to mess with the boat only for a couple hours.  So I went bank fishing   before you all laugh to hard, I did get a limit in less than an hour and a half.  Nothing big, but it was a limit.

First fish came flipping a beaver house, 2nd on a swimbait and the other three were all on spinnerbaits. The bass were all caught with in 50 yards of each other.  I also caught three pike all on swimbaits. 

My picture will give away were I was fishing but oh well.  I don't think anyone will want to put in the effort it would take to get a boat back there right now

I fished on 13 today as well and didn't have any luck.  Tried a bunch of spots around sabula without any luck.  I don't think that spot would be to hard to get to.  You have to remember there is enough water in front of the pump to drop off of plane.

Not right now there is not.  The water in there at best is 3' deep but right before you get to the 3' you have a sand flat that has rocks and a stump that might beat up a boat if you try.  I could be wrong.  The boat lane is almost gone now

The water was gin clear and you could see the fish if you got close enough.  On  the one side of the pump, there is a beaver house now.  I can't belive how the corp has let that happen.  I remember not to long ago when it was a deep hole right there and now nothing.

They were pumping water into the lake and the fish were sitting on the current.

I thought the last time I ran over there it was fine, but that was last year sometime.  I remember getting on plane in the middle of the tubes and running out.  lol, I didn't hit anything, but I'll be more cautious now.  I have heard that there has been some good fishing right by the pump for the last couple of weeks now.

Nice looking Bass and nothing wrong with bank fishing I do it all the time.
