I broke my transducer on the transom of my Tracker 17 last time I was out, (didn't notice until I went to clean the boat last weekend). Since I have to replace the transducer at a minimum (removing a bunch of decking) I was considering upgrading to a better GPS capable system while the decks are open, but can't afford the HDS/HUMMINGBIRD  SI systems at this time.
My question is: If YOU were going to upgrade to a GPS capable system for less than $900 including temp and the transducer, what GPS system would you install in your tracker?

Hummingbird, Lowrance, or Garmin and what model number would you choose? Color or Grey scale

You might want to check the for sale section of this website, I just listed a Humminbird SI unit for $450...
