Mounting Both Spare Tire and Hub

Here is how my brother went about the task of mounting both spare tire and hub to his trailer.  First he mounted/welded a metal plate to the trailer, then welded a large bolt to the metal plate.  Place both spare tire and spare hub over the bolt and screw nut down over all.
