Hey stump bumper. I think my buddies dad is in this club. His name is Donald Pinkley. I could be wrong though. I am very interested in joining a club like this but don't know much about them. I haven't been fishing very long and would enjoy learning from guys that have been doing it while like yourself. Plus I just like to talk fishing. Have you been out to swepco at all? Probibly not since the weather. Just was wondering if the plant was up and running. Thanks

They don't meet and talk fishing at all, they just talk rules once a year. There is not much talking at wiegh ins except from the guys who lost. lo

I guess I have learned a lot from these but it is more watching the guys who win and asking other people where they saw them fishing. You can ask someone what they caught thier fish on and they will talk your ear off about a spinnerbait, then when you pass thier boat you will see 8 rods on deck with jigs on every rod.

But it is a cheap club to join, $20 then $35 each tourney with $5 going to the corps, $5 to big bass and $30 to the pay offs 1-3rd up to 30 boats then 1 place for each additional 10 boats. Usally right around 40 boats. They have 2 touneys a month March through Sept and you have to fish 7 to make the classic. They do run a points so if your not winning money you still have something to look forward too.

Hope to see you there, you don't have to join that night but you can see how the rules are made if you do show.

I have not made it to Swepco since the snow started, there was talk the plant might shut down again due to a cracked pipe, but not sure if that happened.
