Gman, Crack1874;
I am new here a Lake Hickory.  I just started fishing the lake in this month.  Things were very
slow to nil when I started but actions seems to be picking up.

I went 7th in my tourney at Hickory two weeks ago. It was a very tough day fish were caught but very few keepers.....The fish come off jigs, TX rigs and floatin worms....

Thats all I can say about it not much action then

Water temp. is now 73 degrees.  I have been getting a few 1-2# bass and got lucky and nailed
a 3.5#.  I am not having much luck with bass size lures. The action I have had has been on a small spinner.  Problem is I am fishing it with an ultra light and lost a fairly large bass becasue of it.  It would have been over 5#.
I am a rookie on this lake and would sure like to hear from some of you with more experience.
