I want to just post about what I think of E21 Sports Carrot Stix's. I currently have about 20 Carrot Stixs a mix of the Gold and Regular. At every Tournament I get a hand full of Wise  ^-^ that tease me on how they break or how many of them broke because their cousins brothers sisters son broke 4 in one week. Let me say this. I have had the same 20 Carrot Stix's all season this year since I joined their field Staff. I have use them every week , week in and week out. NOT ONE PROBLEM. I did break a tip on my Crankin stick because I shut it in a rod locker, Ouch. I have dropped them, stepped on them, actually threw one after almost being thrown off my boat in a no wake zone by some  ^-^ that cant read and yet I still haven't broke one. People rods are rods. Even some of the best have about 10-15% of each production run that are defects. Not all defects are caught at the factory. Ever since the Boyd Duckett stories were out everyone has a problem with them now. What about the Falcon rods and all the problems they are having and have had with breakage??? People seem to forget about that due to the suppose Carrot Stix Issues. All I'm saying is, ANY ROD, ANY MANUFACTOR can break. I have seen $350 Loomis Rods break on 1lb Bass in Open water. It happens. The good news is when you buy a nice expensive rod they come with warranty's ...actually Lifetime... So all you do is go to the Local retailer or call the manufacturer and get a new one for FREE...BTW.. I don't get paid to use these rods, I use them because I like how light and sensitive these rods are and I TRULY believe I have caught more fish because of that. I hope I don't sound rude and please don't take it that way but I'm sooo sick of getting beat up over these questions and I needed to vent... Thanks Guys

I didn't like them before Boyd said anything about them.

What happened to Falcon?  I haven't heard a thing about them.

I agree. Things like this happens.

It is not that it happened but:

How many times has this happened?
Did the company take care of the issue?
Did the company make a change to their production to prevent it from happpening agin?

Nobody is perfect. If the company has great customer service when it does happen -- that counts. It's when the company does not take care of the problem to your satisfaction that there is an issue.

Just my opinion.

I agree with Johnmccutchan in that all rods have issues and even more so with skeetercuts in that it is what the company does when there is an issue that is the deciding factor for people.

I'm prone to crucial rods and have broken a few like both of your said it just happens, have not used any carrot stix rods other than to hold a few in my hands in different stores so I have nothing bad to say about the rod or the company other than they just didn't feel as good to me as my crucials so I didn't have a need to change.

Some people just like to poke at folks no matter what they use so don't let them get under your skin.  If your rods work well for you at the end of the day that is all that counts.   ~c~ ~c~

Maybe you should tell the people that make the wise cracks? :-\

I say let 'em keep crackin!  I'll be more than happy to take the unwanted orange rods off their hands...for half price of course...sucks for those guys out there that just want to move a different direction though.  From what i've seen they are still going for about the same price on ebay and in stores as they were before...as they say even bad press is good press...the die hards and carrot stix lovers like myself are still gonna buy em

I agree with you all. Everytime I have spoken to someone about their return they have always got a new one. That is what makes a rod company. Sure they are very new in the way of fishing rods, but you gotta give them a chance. As for the Falcon rod comment... I think they are great rods too but I was just mention how I have heard a lot about them having breakage as well. Heck, all company produce bad rods sometimes.. Its how fast and how well they treat their customers. I didn't mean to come here and make anybody mad. I came here because I'm trying really really hard to make it as a professional angler and the last thing I need the day of a event is people getting on me and getting me frustrated. Not to mention I had a really nasty email from my website from someone today before I posted this telling me I was a  ^-^Idiot for using their rods and blah...blah...blah. So i thought why not vent to the guys I speak to everyday on Ultimate Bass and get their thoughts. Right??? Good luck guys and thanks for all the replies.... :)

I have 2 carrot stix and I have never had any reason to not like them. They are not my favorite brand of rod, but they do the job I intend them to do without problems  ~bb

Hey nothing wrong venting a bit and getting a read from your fellow anglers but this part got my attention.  Maybe some of these guys know how to get under your skin and know they can effect your fishing by doing so.  Don't forget 90% of fishing is mental you have to be in your game 100% of the time and if these folks know they can rattle you the will use that to their advantage.  ;)

There is a guy in our club that as far as I can remember has never made the top 8 fish off's before. This year he switched to carrotstick rods and he won angler of the year. I know it wasn't because of the rods, still they might have had something to do with it. I like the looks and feel of the rod myself and if I ever buy any rods in the $150. and up category they will be on my short list.
I don't mind not knowing all the answers, but I keep forgeting the danged questions.

I've go about six of them. I like them all and have pulled some nice fish out of some heavy cover. Now for some applications I use different make rods but for the most part Carrot Stick is it. I have not broke one but do hope I would have no problem with an exchange.

Would like to buy one more if some wants to sell half price..

I have 3 and love em.  As others have said, I may not use them for all applications, but I use them most.  I too will buy at half price if anyone doesn't like theirs anymore.

I am considering selling of my Crucial Drop shot rod, a St Croix Tourny Legend rod and St Croix Premier because I just don't use em.

Doug what kind of premier do you have that you're wanting to sell?

I think it's a 7'3" MH but I need to make sure, and it's at home and I am here.
