Thanks! You guys should get out there and do some tournaments. The next one is July 11th I think so plenty of time to figure out something. What have you guys been doing since Stren is over? This board has been like a ghost town! You guys plan on doing Stren again next year or are you going to keep it local?

Cal has been gone on vacation since we got back. He left the Monday after we got home. I have been keeping up with school and work, and not hardly fishing. I'm taking Eve and Dustin out tomorrow to Naci. I think that is their favorite lake since it is usually not hard to catch fish. We'll see about tournaments when I hear Cal is back, but I'll have to burn one trip just to get the boat tagged for Cachuma.

As far as next year goes, I'll see how the Championship goes (if I get a check) and decide. I hope to do 1 or 2 Strens, maybe one of them as a boater if money allows. Then I would like to fish several around here. What I try and fish depends on the schedules for ABA or Anglers Choice. I think Cal is on-board for more fishing around here too.

Hey congrats Tom and Stan. I'm baaaaaack. Won't be any trnys any time soon. I'm scheduled for ear surgery on the bad ear the 9th of July. Hopefully it will make it possible for a hearing aid to make the ear normal hearing again. If not, you'll just have to talk louder, or lilke I told my Pros...stomp on the deck if you want the net...I'll feel the viration...

. One of them didn't beleive me, so when he started dancing on the deck I got the net and the fish, Pro turns to me and; " Wow you really are hard of hearing", like DUH! I told you so..

So how are the ears Cal? Are you getting any closer to getting out on the lake?

Still no hearing in the left, have a hearing test end of the month. Have been on the base lakes twice on different weekends, all small less than 12 inch fish, caught a dozen or more each time, typical base stuff. I was headed out to Cachuma last Saturday but was told it was closed for the water plane to use the lake for scooping water, so they closed it till further notice. If its open this weekend, I'll probably try again.

It did give me time to clean the boat carpet and hull, still have to replace needed items back into the boat, but only taking minimum stuff from now on.

How are the family, everyone enjoy their vacation? When do you and Tom leave for Clear Lake?

Vacation was great except for the 5000 miles of driving. Tom and I should be heading up to Clear Lake in late October. We plan on getting up there 4 days early so that we can get some good pre-fish and practice in.

At least the Algae is clearing so should be clear water again in Oct.

We will be staying at Konocti the host hotel. It will make things easier since the weigh-in will be conducted there.
