The BEST things in LIFE are FREE... at least in the case of this 1st tool Piriform CCleaner... this FREE software will get your computer back into shape by cleaning the JUNK out of your system.

ALWAYS BACK-UP your computers WEEKLY or BEFORE and after MAJOR SW INSTALLS or IMPROVEMENTS.

After you have DOWNLOADED & INSTALLED the FREE version of CCLEANER..

Click on CLEANER and check the areas of your system that you want CLEANED... Once the Junk is gone, you can go to TOOLs => Startup and BE VERY CAREFUL HERE to look for Start Up programs that are running & consuming system resouces in the MAL-WARE category. There is also a FREE REGISTRY CLEANER here, but as always BACK UP your SYSTEM before using any part of CCLEANER and for goodness sake, stay FAR FAR away from DRIVE-WIPER.

This is a useful tool, as with anything use at your own risk. Anytime you click a link or download a pic or fwiw open a social website and join in you are accepting a level of risk. Also checking email via outlook or other with the reading pane enabled can be risky. All in all it's about setting yourself up for the worst, as stated, ensure you've performed your system maint routinely...backups, AV updates, etc...same as any other PMI for anything you care to keep around...boat, car, MC, jet, missile, PC!

Crap Cleaner (CClean) is a legit program. A very powerful, legit program. Don't believe it? Google is your friend. My advice is to make sure you know what you are letting it delete first.

i use a variable of different programs. including but not limited to Ccleaner. i also use CleanUp! and spybot search and destroy and free Avast anitvirus running as well.

Free is good. My wife has her laptop so hosed up it is un unusable. Might give this a try when I get home from loony land. Thanks BMP, Jim
