I been fishing it 2 to 3 afternoons a week. With the chances of rain this week, i doubt i go. I been getting bites on crankbaits. My uncle been killing them on spinnerbaits in the morning out there

I haven't been there in a long time, but from past experience...if you go while it is raining, throw topwater.  I have done extremely good in the rain in past years on topwater...tiny torpedo or pop-r.  I know...I seem to be stuck on the pop-r.  lo

Yep I've had the same luck in the rain but a buzzbait works better for me.  :)

We had a guy bring a pretty good size bass into BPS lastnight to have it placed in the aquarium. He caught it on Cross Lake off the bank on a white rattle trap. He claimed it to be about 12lbs but I'm estimating more along the lines of 9 maybe 10lbs. It's currently in quarantine, if it survives and is disease-free, it will most likely be place in our aquarium. It looked pretty rough by the time he got it there.

That sucks. He should have gone and gotten his replica info and let it go. No need in endangering the fish because you don't have the proper equipment. I didn't even know BPS would take random fish. 12+ I can see, but folks catch 9-10's somewhat regularly.

I agree with you 100%. The guy just didn't know better, right now they're trying to keep it alive and healthy. From what I know and understand, they'll take a bass that's 10lbs or bigger. Seeing that fish barely alive, they couldn't just turn it away I'm assuming. They won't take just any fish, Grapevine learned that the hard way, they lost their whole aquarium from a Lake Fork bass that was carrying parasites.

Wish he would have put it back for me to have a chance at that hog! ~bb
