My 24 volt went out on  my trolling motor. ~rant The 12 volt still works, and the 24 volt will come on for a second or two and the quit.
I believe the switch in the foot of the trolling motor went bad. I disconnected it and sprayed some contact cleaner on it a couple weeks ago , and it worked for a couple hours then cut out again.

So does any one here know where i can get a switch for a motor guide brute force 67lb thrust??
Are there any nw LA people that work on them?
Thanks guys, really need some feedback here!!!
That 12 volt aint cutting it!!!

I would recommend Carl Pritchard in Sibly, if neither of them have it you can order it online at trollingmotor.com

When mine was doing that I thought the very same thing, went to Bayou Outdoors to get the part and talked to them so they knew what it was doing and was told to replace the circuit breaker.  Once I got the new one in I've not had any more issues and the circuit breaker there is only like $8.00 rather than $40.00 at BPS.  ~c~

Alright i have
good news, decent news, and bad news....

ill give the good first, then the bad, then the decent..

GOOD NEWS: i went to Dive salvage, got the switch i needed, and made a friend. That fellow up there is a class act individual.
Thanks everyone who pointed me to Dive salvage ~c~

Bad News: went home changed the switched out, and turns out that the switch in the foot control was NOT the problem ~rant ~b~

Decent news: i fiddled with the switch on the front panel on the deck, and the 24v started cutting on!! ~c~ i sprayed contact cleaner on the switches and put thepanel back on and it started working. i have to jiggle that switch a little bit but i think ill be able to run that 24 now..
I need a new switch though so it will work without messing with it...
anyone know where i can get that switch  for the front deck??

So you have a switch on the front panel of your boat that controls 12/24 volt as well as the one on the foot of the TM?

For a Tidecraft give Mel at Smith's a try they should have it.

Yea, my problem is that same toggle switch going from the boat to the trolling motor onthat front panel. It is just a 12/24 toggle switch with 6 leads going out from it..
Would Dive's have that sort of thing as well???
I would think, these are a pretty generic switch??? :-\

pretty sure they do, take the switch with you. Bayou Marine or Dive should have one, just about any boat supply would have it.

You can pick that switch up from any electrical supply house or Radio Shack too :-*. Just take the old one with you for a reference.
