Sun Spots

Has anyone esle been having trouble with there GPS units not working??Friday when i was fishing mine keep turning off and loosing its position. Then when we got back the truck my hand held Garmin that i have mounted on the dash was off and wouldnt come back on and lock in on the satalites, Today i see where there saying that sun spots are apppearring on the sun,, i know back in the late 70's to early 80's thats what cut out most of the CB radio talking, now this morning both my units are working fine but yesterday the garmin in the truck was not working right,,
