Portland ME Fishing Pier

Hey everyone,

I am going to be in Portland ME Sun thru Tuesday and for the Northeast Geological Society of America conference. We are staying at the Holiday Inn by the Bay. I saw that there was a fishing pier by the bay of of commercial st and I was wondering if people do any fishing there or not. I'm from upstate NY and I thought maybe if people from ME would be fishing there I would stop by and say hello since its only a few minutes walking distance. Let me know if your in the area. I did not bring any of my fishing stuff but I wish I did. I didn't know we were gonna be right on the bay.
