:shocking: look at that thing.  he found a whole sink full they weren't all that big, but I'd say on average they were between 5-8 inches with a few monsters.  I couldn't believe how big this thing was.

I have never seen one that big!

Thats a big one. I've seen a few golds much larger and a bunch of greys that size this year. I just wish someone would sell me a pound or two  :'( I can never find them, gave up years ago but I know a lot of guys did really well this year. Congrats to your dad on a fine mushroom  ~c~ ~c~

Ah man, I grew up in Wisconsin and would have a morel feast every year.  Any more I am lucky to find a morsel or two or more likely a freeze dried package at the local supermarket.  21 years in the tropics and I don't know how to find em anymore.

I'll hook you up Karl.  I'm heading out in a few here to see if I can find some more.  I noticed the other day I was short on poison tail jigs and vibraspins.  ;)  Particularly black/ blue jigs and blue shimmer cotton candy vibraspins.  lo

Yeah at least Lip.  Lets just say I sold them to karl at 10$ a lb which would be dirt cheap so thats 30$ worth of lures.  lo  We might be delivering a few pounds to davenport at 30$ a lb and if we really wanted to travel and had alot we could go to Chicago and get 40-50$ a lb for them!!

I need to get out and look again.  Alot of the ones we found tonight were already starting to get dried up.  We had to go deep into the timber to find good ones tonight.

Heck we got guys selling them in the Newspaper here for $40-$45 a pound.  For that kind of cash I sure would not mind getting a few.  I might try to get out tomorrow and see if I can find a few before they are all gone

shrooms were done here a couple of weeks ago. That's for shure a big one your dad found a feast in it's self. Two local guys went out and got 56 pounds in one picking they hit it wright, they were in the local papers here and a lot of them were given away to old timers who can't get out and hunt them anymore. They took most of them back to a local marina/resturant and cooked and served for free to share with all the shroom lovers in the area. The yellow's were popping before the gray's this year here.

I got out this afternoon to Rockwood to look for some around Lake Carlton.  I did not find any mushrooms that would not make you see things :{_  The only thing I did find was an Easton arrow.  I found that green arrow when only 2" were not under the leaves.  But I could not find a mushroom ~b~
