I fished a small club tournament today.  There trounaments are all draw events and I drew a partner that I normally don't get along with that well.  But today turned out to be a good day.  Except for when he stuck his boat and we had to get into the water and push ~rant

My partner and I ended up 2nd with 16.5# and I had big bass at 4.45.  Our shortest fish was 16.75".  Besides the big fish they were all skinny.  Well they looked skinny after we got them out of the livewell.  We thought we had 18 pounds.

I lost my biggest river bass today.  It was 5.5+, I lost her half way to the boat.  Never got a hook in her she was just clamped down on my bait.  Don't worry Nate I remember where she is.  That fish would have put us at 19-20 pounds :'(

1st place team had 17.5#.

Adam I saw you guys today, but then again I think I saw every boat today.

Man thats awesome.  Hopefully those fish stick around till next weekend.  If we get 2nd I'd be exstatic.  I could really use the extra cash right now.   lo but I think with my expertise(by that I mean vibrashocks lo) that we could get more fish than that.

I really wanted to use my new vibra shock.  But was just so hard to pass on the bite we had going.  WE caught 3 keeper bass and a huge northern by making the same cast in about 3 min time.  We only had one guy fishing around us too.  He kept trying to creep in and fish the area.  He as catching fish what he was doing so I don't really know why he wanted to be 10' away from us.

On a side note, it only took me 20 min to clean all the mud out of my toes last night ~xyz  That was nasty, how do you get that stuck running the trolling motor :-\  6" of water and 2' of mud >:(  Those new rangers are not light to try and pick up and push at the same time

We left right after we filled our limit.  So as long as it does not get beat to death this week or they don't suck the water way down we should be okay ;)

We had 4 boats in the tournament.  Small but it was still nice.  Fishing was really good for us for awhile.  My bite died off when the sun came out.

I did not fish with Rick, My partner was the one that came in to mess with rick right after you guys got back there.  My partner and Rick do not get along and they are always  ^-^ with each other.
