Swin away tongue is resonably easy to release and move.  Almost impossible to re-insert pin when reconnecting.  Had to use a small hammer and board to get pin re-inserted.  Pin was slightly protruding from bottom hole so it was aligned, still could not get in through without the hammer taps.  Any suggestions.  Brand new Nitro Z-7.

Sounds like something is pinched in the joint. Might be one of your trailer wires!

I don't have a Nitro, but I have to lift up on the end of the swing away tongue a bit (there is a little play in the tongue) and the pin drops right down.  Hope this helps.

Thanks to both of you for your ideas.  Will lift tongue next time and see if that helps.  Will also check the wiring!

Lifting up on the tongue aligned it perfectly and the pin dropped right in as it should!  Thanks for the GREAT tip.  Might add that even the dealer mentioned how hard it was to get those pins in.  Would never have thought about alignment up and down without the great tip from BassMeister.

Thanks!!

Glad to help Spot, it took me a few times of driving my pin in before I figured it out.
