Potomac is still on right now.  My partner and I fished from 6:30 to 11:00 and boated 12-13 bass, with all but 2 being keepers.  Biggest was his 4 lber that came as the first fish.  High tide was the key.  We fished way in the back of a flat with Mann's baby 1 minus, senkos and rattletrap.  Lost a good 4lber because I was too foolish to play him out before trying to man handle him to the boat and he broke my 1 minus off.  No more flourocarbon for me.  Back to good ole mono.  I've had a bunch of break offs and while KVD swears by that stuff, I guess I'll just have to accept that I'm not KVD!! :'(

If you live in MD or VA, you really should get out there.  It's a great time to fish the river.

Not much bad happens when you're fishing.

Where were you fishing?? We had a tournament out of leeslyvannia on Sat and no one had there limit. Now I know that river like the back of my hand but I only managed 3 keepers. It was a VERY long day to say the least.

We ended up coming in 3rd place.

Nitroman,
We fished Chapawamsic Creek.  It is on the VA side between Aquia and Quantico Creeks.  It is a very very small inlet to get in there.  The creek is surrounded by the Marine Corps Base (I'm an active duty Marine).  Run down the river going South from Leeslyvania until you see the Marine Corps Air Facility just after Quantico creek.  Ease down past the rip rap that forms the runway and you'll see a 20 foot wide channel (15 feet deep and well used) and then slide up into the creek (you have to go under two bridges that are tight).  Worth your trip.  Let me know if you aren't sure of this location and I'll shoot you my cell number so I can talk you on to it.

I mainly fish out of Aquia. But if you dont know much about the river just head out to Arkandale Flats... That whole grass bed is kickass in the summer. I'm headed out of Hope Springs on Wed. If you wanna meet up let me know
