I've ordered stuff to start doing my own soft baits, got a few ideas I want to try out.

One thing I'm lacking yet is a melting pot. Anyone have any recommendations?

You can convert a Fry Daddy into a nice pouring pot or just use the little tin ones that they sell with the plastic supplies.

A friend of mine has a small soft plastics business and he simply uses an old microwave oven and Pyrex measuring cups.

I use Lee production pots.  Be sure to get the one for plastic and not lead.  If you are going to do large amounts you should look into the Presto pot.  Try www.bearsbaits.com  www.tackleunderground.com and www.lurecraft.com

Would love to see some of those baits when you're done....please post results ;PHO)
If you give history the chance then chances are good that history will repeat itself. So pay attention to your fishing because the first one you caught was because you did something they liked!
