Was the water up or is just me

I think the water was up from the last time I was out .  But then again I might just be crazy

I did exactly what I said I was not going to do which was go into spring lake.  I had every intention of fishing else were, but I did not like the Savanna ramp.  No dock, and all kinds of crap washed into the ramp area.  So I headed down to spring lake.    

Water was cold to start but warmed nicely as the day went on.  The water did not seen all that high in spring lake.  I would like to see it at least a foot higher.   I did all I could to get my buddy on some fish but I could not get that to happen.  I got fish, but he had some trouble.  All my fish came off a stretch of bank that I have never got any fish before.  I have caught them in the area, but never on that bank. 

The warmest water I found was 51* and the coldest was 44*.  Afew more nice sunny days and it will be great temps.  Just about in time for the tournaments that start in a few weeks.

Same here water was pretty cold.  I was hoping with the last couple of cold days that it didn't drop much, but it did.  The river looks to be the same level as the last couple of times I went out, it must have been awhile for you.  Did you fish around the island?  WOndering what kind of water depth there was around it.

Tomorrow and this weekend the temps will reach close to 60 and if the sun comes out strong it'll warm quick.  Fri looks like rain and colder which sucks.

I fished aound the back on the west side trying to stay out of the wind.  The fish I got came from about 2 foot of water.  The water seemed like normal spring lake levels.  Alot of Big stuff washed out since last spring.  Most of the small stuff under the water is still there.
