I Have a TR-196 Triton bass boat. I run a Merc 200 hp OptiMax motor on a 5 1/2" offset CMC Hydraulic jack plate. I turn a 27 pitch Tempest Plus prop at 5500 rpms with a tournament load. The boat will run 67-68 GPS with this set up. My question is can I get any more out of her by going to a 10" offset plate. I would like to stay with the Hydraulic plate because I fish allot of shallow water and like the fact I can raise my motor straight up as well as tilt when idling. Anybody have any experience with this setup. I would like to know before I put down allot of money to change to the 10" offset.

Thanks for your help
Michael
