Ever use roll on bed liner on your deck ?

The paint on my decks is looking bad and decks are becoming slippery. Anyone ever use the roll on bed liners ? I'm also considering Rhino lining depending on the price difference.

I've never used the roll on bedline on my deck, but I did use it in a truck. It held up well.

In this case, I think a couple coats of roll on bedliner would be better for your application than RhinoLiner. The Rhinoliner is going to be pretty thick, which might add too much weight to the bow of your boat.

I just had my boat done in Line-X here is a few pics of it. They said it only added 65 lbs to the boat. I had it done this winter, so I can not say if it is hot, but so far I love it. It is not slick and not that thick. Let me know if you have any more questions and I will try to answer them on my Line-X. I will tell you that the hard part is getting all of the glue out of the boat. The best thing I found was a 4 1/2" grinder with a rust and paint remover pad.

Thanks for the help, I think I'll run my boat up to Dublin just to get a price. Was thinking I might just do the casting decks instead of the whole boat but after seeing the pics I think I might as well get the whole rig done. Still gotta check the price next week. Thanks alot. Good Looking rig, just courious how does the jet handle shallow with sand instead of rock. If I mess around and hit sand in mine it is just some paint off the skeg. Would sand cause a problem with the jet foot ?

I used to have a 14 foot flat bottom riveted john boat when i was younger. As all riveted boats eventually do it started to leak. I had a roll on bed liner in the garage that someone gave me as a gift and i used it on the boat, not only did it provide me with a non slip surface, it took care of the leaks!

Sand should be no problem. It might work on the impeller more, but not sure. I know guys that run them of small gravel shoals and they do fine. I mostly have rocky shoals here that is the reason for the UHMW, which is the black stuff you see on the sides and bottom. I have heard of guys running them in salt water and they just flush them good after wards, so you should be fine. If you want more info before buying a jet I would strongly recommend you look at www.riversmallies.com and do some reading. If you have not got a price yet. Mine was $1000 and that was the second quote. The first was 1600, so you might want to shop around.

I know a guy that lives out west and fishes shallow, sandy rivers with a jet boat. He says that his impellor life is shortened somewhat, but he considers that to be a small price to pay. He gets to areas that other boat can't reach.

The problem that I see with jet rigs is they're not as efficient as a propped boat. A while back, one of the local guides (Butch) had the same model boat as my guide partner Gil, a locally made boat called the Tuffy Marauder. It was a 17' fiberglass fishing boat. Gil's boat was powered by a 40 hp Mariner, Butch had a 75 hp Yamaha with a jet lower unit. With two guys on board in the propped boat, and only one in the jet boat, ours was on plane faster, and even though we both left at the same time, we were back at the landing before Butch.

But, if you do run a lot of shallow water, they can be worth their weight in gold!

Went to Dublin over the weekend only to find out the Line X dealer wen tout of bussiness, rumer has it it wasnt due to lack of bussiness, but thats just a rumer. Looks like I'll be rolling it on myself. Found one product today in JC Whitney but not the color I was looking for. Dont think I really want a black deck. Thanks for all the help.
