Hey guys....I want to start using braid more this year and I'm confused about what to buy.
Here are the features I want; 1)won't backlash easily 2) something beside moss green.i want to see it. 3)reasonably priced.
I need 50-65 lb because of where I fish. I am looking at Magibraid at BPS in light blue but some of the feedback is negative.

Any opinions/advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance....Joe

You will find that the majority (by a large margin) on this forum will   recommend Power Pro. It's a great line.

In the end, it's not going to matter how many breaths you took, but how many moments took your breath away.

I agree power pro is my choice and I use yellow in both 50# for frogs and 65#for flipping heavy grass and pads

Power Pro comes in Green, Yellow, and Red....great line, but don't get too attached to the color of any braid.  Most are made of Spectra and it does not absorb or hold color.

Spiderwire stealth has come out (so they claim) with a Code Red that supposedly keeps it's color better than the others.  I have not tested it out yet, but intend to.

I had never used braid until last year, tried stren and have no complaints other than the color didn't last, but I am learning that it doesn't matter what you use it won't keep it's color.  This year I am using power pro as a result of recommendations by members of this board.  They better be right.  ;D

I've used Power Pro and been happy with it. I've also recently used Suffix braid and been very impressed, it seems to cast better than power pro for me. Braid lasts so long that I haven't had to replace my power pro but will likely switch over to suffix as needed. I only use braid for frogs, punching, and swim jigs in heavy grass and pads.

power pro is the way to go i use it for everything i just tye on a long leader i use it for drop shot man i have to put on a long leader for that

Sufix fan myself. Never a problem. It's good stuff.

I swore by fireline for years but after trying power pro I did a complete switch over. Now all my poles (that have braid) are strung up with various tests of power pro and I haven't had any major problems since I switched.
