Ok,the other day I made up a bunch of skirts, today I have 50 1/2oz football heads to paint. Here is how and what I do to get this done.

1/ The first thing that I do is to clean the lead with rubbing alcohol to remove any dirt and oils from pouring and handling. This is very important so that the paint will adhere to the lead and not chip off.I use alcohol swabs but rubbing alcohol and any clean rag will work.

2/ I use Vinyl Lure & Jig Finish that I thin with a little thinner and I apply by dipping the jig head.Let dry for 24hrs

3/ Next I mix up a batch of Devcon 2 ton epoxy and add glitter to the mix and brush on the epoxy.Let dry 24hrs to a rock hard finish add skirt and go fishing

That looks like fun.. I am starting to look for cheaper molds and supplies to make my own pig and jigs also... Does anyone know where i could find like a starter kit that has everything i need to start??

Nice work and excellent detailed information.
Barlows Tackle has everyhing you need and Lure Craft also has most of what you need to get started.
I would suggest that you buy unfinished jigs and silicone (barb wire pattern) skirt material and collars to get started. The paint and brushes can be found at model airplane and hobby shops also.
