I have a 184 Champion with a 150 EFI. I have put a new prop on but the boat still seems to not have enough lift. Should you be able to trim the motor till it blows out when you are in it by yourself. I can trim mine all the way up. I was wondering if trim tabs would help with the lift. Any answers?

Are you running a jackplate?

Are you talking bow lift or stearn lift?

Adding cup to te prop will give it more lift.
With that said all props need to be Balanced and blueprinted for your boat or they will not perform to their full potential.

I mean bow lift. Yes I have a 6 inch jack plate. I was just wondering if tabs would help get the front up and out of the water.

No, Tabs might get the stearn a little higher but on a bass boat they are just a bandaid over the real problem.

As far as bow lift you need to have more cup added to the prop. I am having the same problem with my legend right now. I need to get the prop worked.

This wold be a great issue to post on the prop board.  :-*

Robbie could help on this and get you set up real quick!  ;)
