All,

Millard Good Samaritan Nursing Home has asked  if we would be willing to assist them taking some of their residences fishing on 15 July. The outing will be in the morning, followed by a picnic lunch. The location is open for discussion. We need to come up with a place that is easily wheelchair accessable, and have fish. Any suggestions??? Last time we went to Chalco, and it worked out pretty good.

Here is what I need from you:

1) Bodies, I need as many folks as possible. Most of these people require one on one assistance. I would like to have someone for each resident to assist with casting, baiting hooks, taking off fish, and just visiting. ( Jerry, It's kinda like fishing with Rod)

2) Equipment, I need easy to use (i.e. spincasting) rods and reels for everyone.
--If anyone has an "in" at Walmart, Dicks, or some other large retailer, they may be willing to donate combo packs the residence can take home with them?? Vickie donated hooks, weights, bobbers and bait last time?

For those of you that helped out last time, Please let everyone else know how good of a deal this is. This will more than likely be the last time some of these folks get to go fishing. I know if it were me, I would appreciate someone taking the time to take me fishing for the last time.

Please let me know if you can help out.

Thanks in advance.

Fridays are kinda tough for me but I might be able to swing it. Also I have 4 or 5 spincast outfits that we can use.

ripnlips has his little helper, check out the picture on his profile.  Him and Hoot are like Skipper and Gilligan!  I don't know how they both sleep in the back of that Dodge!

Sorry for my laps in attendance. Putter took a dump.....

It's amazing how we can take a good post about doing something nice for some folks and still manage to wind up on the subject of Gilligan and the Skipper spooning!!! :roll2:

Anyhow....

I think Zerinski will be the best place to do this. When I have more details, I'll post them.

Skipper....

Do you think you could send out an e-mail to the folks that cant seem to find the board?

Thanks for all the help.

So Jeff, is this still a go on friday???

Basseye

O.K. Guys-n-Gals......

I have between 10 and 12 Gentleman from Millard Good Samaritan Nursing Home expecting to go fishing on Friday, so I need to know who can lend a hand.

If you cannot be there to help out, you can help buy letting us use any rods and reels you may have laying around.

If you can show, we will meet at Zorinski at 0900. Lunch will be provided by MGS.

PLEASE let me know ASAP if you can help. The last thing I want is to let these guys down at the last minute.

Thanks, Jeff
