how much importance do yall place on the color of your line and what do you use ?? right now i am using a low vis green on all my reels but i have 900 yards of BLUE 15lb big game that a buddy gave me , its been sitting on top of my fridge for a while and it sure is dang pretty. will bass laugh at me if i spool one up with this stuff ??

I use a hi-visibility gold line with a leader of floro for wacky rigging they laugh till I come in with fish when they do not!

use what you're confident with...personally, I use low vis green, but then there's a lot of algae in the water I fish, and it's generally turbid, so the green makes a lot of sense.

I use a low vis green in the salt water, spiderwire, and a clear mono  line in the fresh water simply because the water up here is so darn clear, whcihever the water color is, that is what you want to shoot for ~c~

The only time I worry about line color is Lake Erie when I use P-line Fluoroclear.  Everywhere else I fish in Ohio, it has never made any noticeable difference in my catch.  Most of my rigs have either green Power Pro or clear Stren Magnaflex.

I normally fish clear or blue..

I have clear on all my reels, but most of the fishing I do here is very clear water, usually can see up to 10-15 feet with a decent pair of polarized.   :shocking:

The fish laugh at me regardless of line color!

Where are we going...and why are we in this hand basket???

Fishaholic

I'm with you left_turn...I know that's what they were doing for a fact last night! ~roflmao

My fishfinder only encourages them to laugh more!

I think I need to make up some shirts..."on good days, fish fear me...the rest of the time they just laugh"

Reminds me of the card I got for my Dad for Father's Day.

Says, for Father's Day I was going to get you a fishfinder,

and on the inside, but I thought you knowing where the fish were would only frustrate you more  lo

cool beans!! I'm gonna hafta remember that one. lo

god grant that i may live to fish until my dying day and when it comes to my last cast i then most humbly pray when in the lords safe landing net i"m peacefully asleep that in his mercy i be judged as good enough to keep. member BASS,ILLINOIS FEDERATION

Most of my braids are low vis greens, except for the ones I use for free lining live bait, they are high vis colors, you have to watch the line move or you miss alot of fish.

I use low vis green or clear monos, and floros, although I am trying vanish transitions for leaders, sure is easier to see to tie.

I just bought a spool of the blue big game, first time I ever saw that one, gonna try it soon.

I don't think we have water down here that you can see more than 6 inches in, that I fish in.

I use a pink fire line and not because Im female,  lo  I read its invisible in the water and fish dont see it, (water heres so dark any way, I dont think they can see anything  lo ) I do pretty good.. not great but pretty good.. and its pretty too, like pipewrenches blue.
I notice some of the color is fading, so make sure you get plenty so you can respool your rod when it gets too washed out..
Seen the blue one that Pferox has, I kinda like it..
