Great idea about bringiing clubs together . I'm V.P. of a club here in NY , TeamBassmasters of Orange County NY . We always share reports , tactics and conditions to the point where I a in contact with a few other clubs' officers and share for their upcoming events as well .
Our site is under construction but if you can add a link on your page we'd be grateful and also include a link to you site ! Thanks ,   John Kuderna

John, no problem. It may take me a couple days or to speed the process up visit our links pages from the main site http://ultimatebass.com and add your link to the New York Bass Clubs section. This will allow you to fill in the description for the link as you would like it. Let me know if you have any problems.

I hope you can get your club to sign up, it's free and fun and does wonders for the communication in the club. ~c~

Thanks for the kudos John, Pass the word around about our site and that the clubs can have a message board all their own. If you would like one for your club just give me a hollar and I can set one up for you.

I am the sec/tres. of our bass club and would like to get our club more involved with other bass fishermen. We are a small club of firemen from all over alabama, we are in our second year and have 30 members now. I want to see the club grow and help everyone become better at the sport we love.

Mike Cork

Danny, getting your own forum here would be a great start to your goals. It is really simple and free. First you need to register to the site (again free and simple) then get with Mother Nature (Laurie) and she will hook you up.

Do most of your members use the internet? If so the forums here are full of great information, and I am sure your fellow fishing friends could learn a thing or two and we could learn from you all. Let us know.

Laurie,  I'm posting this to find out how to place a membership add for the LOUISIANA MILITARY ANGLERS bass club on your website.  I/we don't necessarily want a message board at this time, but just want to get the word out about our club and solicit new members.  I have been checking your website for a couple of years now, since I often fish with some of the guys who know Mike and told me about the website.  From one angler to another, thanks for creating this friendly forum and promoting the fellowship of fishermen.  I hope you will consider passing on the word about our club.

Our club is comprised of active duty, retired, prior military, some reserve military and a few non-military members.  You don't have to be in the military to join.  Club dues are $20 per year plus $4 (optional) for big bass for the year.  Other optional fees include $15 for Association of Louisiana Bass Clubs (ALBC), $4 for ALBC big bass, and $35 for B.A.S.S. Federation.  Tournaments are $20 plus $5 for tournament big bass.  Payback is dependent on the number of members fishing a given tournament.  We fish one tournament per month, Jan-Oct, and members who qualify may fish an ALBC Top 6 and/or Top 10 tournaments.  We also have an end of year banquet for awards and give out some really nice door prizes.

We do not fish club tournaments as teams, but we do team up for special tournaments such as the Top 6 or Top 10.  We also make room for non-boaters...that means if a member doesn't own a boat, they can fish our tournaments with a member who does own one.  Of course that option is limited by the number of boat-owning members, of which we could use a few more.  Non-boaters draw for their boater at our monthly meeting, but still fish against that boater for the tournament.  Non-boaters also pay an additional $10 for each tournament, and the cost to the boater is reduced by $10, in an effort to help split some of the cost to the boater.  We vote on each subsequent club tournament at our monthly meeting and fish mostly the local lakes and waterways around Shreveport/Bossier City.

So, if someone is interested, they can call me (Eric) in the evenings at 549-2669 for information on our next tournament, meeting, and membership.  Check us out if you have an opportunity.  We would enjoy some new friendly competition.  Thanks for your consideration.

Mike Cork

Erik a good place for that is in the Louisiana State Fishing Forum, this is where most folks talk about their clubs needing more member.

If you got to Louisiana Fishing Forum, you will see a seperate forum tittled Louisiana State Fishing Forum. ;)

Posting your clubs tournament results with some information about the winning patterns is a good way as well :-* to do this just go to the lake thread  ;)

mike this tournament is sponsored by another forum

this forum is based in grapevine so it is pretty much a texas thing, I just wanted to know if i posted about it (wich i did) if i would be steppin on any toes here on UB, I know we dont talk bout other forums and all that but this is just a tournament that we do monthly....   We had one in Fork right after UB's tournament in fact....   Yall LA ppls are welcome to come but I understand with gas prices it is hard...

IF it is not steppin on toes here when we have them I will try to post the info well in advance so that maybe some other texas and possible LA can make it if you want

Big bass wins all the cash, last month payout was like 960 or 980

Mike Cork

I don't mind as long as you tell them about UB as well ;)
