Ok I thought I should come back and retract all negative statements made and all to come.  The wife has  given me the ok to start looking for a new boat. If it was to be a Ranger it might looked bad here.

Bman   it don't have to be a RANGER after all you want a boat that you know will start and get you where you want to go and is good for something besides a yard deceration  lo lo

The most important thing is to look at is what you want it to do and where you want to take it. The type of boat is not what is important its the use you get out of it. Now where range is concerned he needs the yard decor to fix the one he try to fish out of.  ;) lo

If it was to be a Ranger it would be one that they didn't have to band together.

Well I will tell you one thing I found out a few years back.. I was coaching a 10 and under little leage team and one of the dads was a FiberGlass Resgin salesmen for OK, AR, and KS..  I was talking to him about boats one day and he started listing off manufactures that he sold to.. One of them was Ranger.. He said they bought the cheapest resign and mat they could get.   He said he laughed when he saw the boats because he knew it was all just name and advertising..  I was honestly blown away..  I grew up thinking..  I want a ranger or a champion.. Then to find out that Ranger bought the cheapest materials was flabbergasting..

not a boat owner here, but just because they used the less expensive resin, it doesn't mean their boats aren't good...that would depend on how well made they are and how durable they are wouldn't it?

They make houses out of some of the cheapest materials available, doesn't necessarily mean the house is gonna fall down in a week does it? It might even last for a couple hundred years depending on how it was built.

get my point!
