I'm researching the possibility of downsizing to a Pro Team 175 and a couple of things concern me...
1.  Why is there not an option for a 24v TM system?
2.  Are dealers willing to do electronics upgrades at the dealership?  I don't have to have a 10 inch screen but something with GPS would be nice.

you guys that have one, do you like it?  I fish a lot of tournaments, not necessarily on big lakes and it would be plenty of boat but will I have enough boat here to fish the way I'm used to fishing (have been in a 19ft Bass Cat)?
thanks in advance for any replies.....
I'm still leaning towards a new Bass Cat but I'm trying to be smart with my money and really like the look of a monthly note around $200 bucks if I'm getting enough boat for the money.

Well, I have a 2004 PT175 but it's real close. I upgraded to a 24v Terrova and a Lowrance Gen2 HDS8. The trolling motor upgrade is relatively simple. Just add a battery, which will fit in the existing compartment, and upsize the wiring to be safe. Any shop can do it for you. I had Tracker Marine do mine for the warranty. The only thing you will miss is rod storage, though the new 175's have improved it since my model. I fish the heck out of mine 3-4 days a week all year round. Great value for a retired guy like me.

I have an older PT 185 that I bought used.
However when I went in to BPS looking before I bought mine, they said they would and they regularly upgrade the electronics in the boats.
Not sure about the TM as I didn't ask about those but I'm sure they would.
TTK has spoken.

Realizing this is a month old, but I wanted to throw in my .02. I own and 05 PT175. Here are things to consider.

The rod storage on my model is a joke. I took a sawzall to mine because I got tired of breaking rods. The newer models are better and I wish I had that option.

You will get blown around in the wind because the boats are so light. That is my biggest complaint. But when I bought it, I wasn't tournament fishing. I did for a while, but gave it up until I can get a better boat to handle the wind. I miss out on a lot of bites because I can't fish the main lake in the wind. smaller lake may not be an issue.

Definitely upgrade to a 24v. I did 2 years ago and it is one of the best upgrades I have done. It was simple. Everyone said I needed to pull new wire. I spoke with the local marine dealer, he said the factory wiring was fine. So I added the battery and used the factory wiring. I have not had an issue yet.

I am sure they will upgrade everything at the dealer for you. I am a do it yourself kind of guy. I have upgraded electronics twice, looking to upgrade again, the trolling motor. My only actual regret with the boat is I did not max out the HP. I did updrade to the 50 to get power TT, but I should have gotten the 75. I hit 31 gps with the wind at my back by myself.

All that being said, I do love mine. I bought it new and I have fished the heck out of it. It drafts shallow, so I can go places that others can not. It is a rock solid boat. I have upgraded and customized mine. I have looked at the newer models, but I think my next boat will be glass. I don't plan on getting rid of this one. Besides, I have more things to do this one and the wife wont let me buy another one at the moment. LOL. Good luck on your purchase.

all aluminums blow around 'a bit'.  key is to put as much power up front on the TM as possible.
I have an 80 fortrex.  would like a 100+

I fish out of a 2013 RT 178 (ranger tin).  rod storage holds 7 rods up to 8 feet long ... now, candidly, I can't get 7 8-footers in there...but I can get 4. and the other slots take 7.5 no problems.

Livewell rocks.

75hp opti gets me just a touch over 38 GPS fully loaded, gas tank topped off.

oh...and decks are all aluminum...blown in foam floation.  you can flat out fill this boat up with water and it floats and is stable. unfortunately, I can confess to having done this once.

I don't know how different the prices are ... but when identically equipped, I wouldn't expect that much difference in price.

and they finally came out with a pretty red this year.
