I'm a new boater. I recently bought my first boat about 2 weeks ago. It's an 18 foot procraft fish n' ski. I mostly bass fish but want to take my family out with me at times too. I'm not sure many of you more experienced boaters remember your first boat purchase and the excitement that goes with it. Well, I'm experiencing that now. A friend of mine and myself took my boat out this past weekend. He has way more experience than I do. I'm taking my boaters saftey course this weekend and next week I'm taking swimming lessons (don't laugh, I can't swim worth a flip ) Anyway, I've been so excited about my new boat and can't wait to post pictures of it but after reading some of the posts in this "Boat Safety" forum I figured this would be the best place for my first post to go. My point is, I really appreciate all the helpful/insightful information that I'm learning here. Thanks to everyone...

you have your priorities straight Ol Johnny Boy.  Once you get that boat safety course completed....go to the top of the boat safety forum and put your name in the "thread of honor"....where it deserves to be
