Winds and cold water temps making things really tough. I fished Friday during the 70-degree day we had and found numbers of fish only to come back Sunday to try to put our juniors on fish and struggle. The front came through, pushed the fish off, and slowed them down. We had a number of short strikes yesterday and caught this beautiful momma (4.00) early. She was released and swam away beautifully in the same spot we caught her. The water temps are cold, but the fish are getting ready to move up and do their thing. They were positioned a good 20 yards off the bank, all on a south facing shoreline.

We keyed on the seagulls pulling shad (4-5 inch) off the surface and matched with similar baits, (cranks and traps).

Regardless of the outcome, the kids had fun, and held their meeting afterwards with pizza and good stories.
