What it says..

Weight: 7.8 oz. Drag power: 9 lbs. Line capacity: 12 lb./100 yards. Line recovery: 28'' per handle turn. Gear ratio: 7.1:1.

What I think...

Was at first excited to give it try.  Wanted a fast retrieve to burn cranks and I have been more than happy with my other Pflueger reels.  However, after a good bit of testing I am a bit disappointed in it.  For some reason the casting distance is not up to par.  Cant get a small crankbait to cast very far.  Switch out different rods and found the same problem.  Used a 6'6" Crankin' Stick, then a 6'6" BPS medium heavy, 6'6" medium fast tip.  Got fed up an put a C-rig on it to see if a heavier weight would carry farther.  Still not satisfied with the cast distance compared to Pflueger Echelon or Revo.  Tinkered and tweeked with the spool and drag settings to no avail.  Even had a buddy try it out....3 casts and he has this "WTF???" look on his face.

Am I missing something here?

I would trade it for another one, maybe there is a hang up somewhere in the bearings that you can't feel.

Or you can try it on a longer rod to see what happens.

I had an old round Garcia once that wouldn't cast for squat for almost a year. After it broke in a little it worked great, casted a mile.

Its hard to say without havin it in my hands to see what is up, ya know?

The only thing I didnt try was using a longer rod.  Worst comes to worst I'll sell it to a buddy and by another model.
