I hooked up my transducer on my trolling motor yesterday.  It has a puck style transducer and this is my first experience with that.  Anyway I turned it on out of water and touched the bottom of the puck and I could fell the pulses.  It fealt like it was shocking me a little bit.  Is this something normal that these ducers do out of water?

It should not shock you, but there is a pulse that you should hear and possibly feel.
The world is full of people who can hear a loud bang, feel a sharp pain in the foot, notice smoke trickling out of their holster . . . and never put it all together

Its normal but its not a shock, just a "PING"  lo

Thanks guys.  Its not really a shock. Just kind of feels like its pushing our finger or something.  Hard for me to explain, but it sounds like you guys already know anyway.  lo  O hand Karl.  Don't laugh at me.  I'm not used to all this fancy equipment.  :embarassed:
