Ranger 170VS Question

I was reading my new BASS master for Nov and they have a mpg test and my eyes went straight to the Ranger. With a 115 yamaha this boat was hitting 70mph. My Nitro does good to hit 55mph and the other 115s they tested were slower than my Nitro 700.

Why is this boat so much faster??

 Must have been a mistake. No way a Ranger with a 115 is going to hit 70mph. I have an old R80 Sport with a 150, it is really 17'10''. When it was new it would do about 68 by the speedometer. They are not really made to run fast.
