3-29 my partner and i fished toledo from 10 till dark and kept 8 from 1 pound to 5 pounds
2 had a small amount of eggs. He caught 3 on a lizzard and we caught the rest on flukes.
All of them came out of shallow water and water temps were around 71 degrees. We caught
about 12 but should have caught about 25 but kept missing them in the thick weeds. All in all
it was a fun day.

My buddies & I fished Saturday & Sunday. Saturday was slow, we caught a few small fish on topwater early, then switched to plastics and caught a few more. Sunday we were on the water before daylightand the topwater bite was on. We caught a lot of small fish, the better fish seemed to barely suck the bait down and then would spit back at us, but it was still alot of fun as the bite lasted until about 9:30. We were lucky in that the rain passed all around us, but we only got wet for about 10 minutes. We swithed to plastics and caught a few more, then shut it down at noon and headed back to Lafayette.

Glad to hear that the topwater action is picking up...What type of topwater was it(buzzbait, spook, frog, etc.)?
