Heys guys what going on i am new to the site.. I live right by kincaid lake and it was a 14 pounder that came out last week.. I saw the guys when they weighed it.. It has a 1 pond chicken pin in its mouth and the bass was a bout to die.. A young fisherman saw the fish swimming in like a couple inches of water and threw a spinner bait on top of it and snagged it in the mouth but yea it was a freakin stud...  It should be in the sportsmans magizine in like a month..

Chicken Pin ?    Are you talking about a Chinquapin Perch?   Do you know if the fish lived, and did they turn it back loose?

Finness man

The guy kept the fish and did not turn it back.. Yea thatnks i did not know how to spell it.  it is  ashame that a huge fish like that is taken out of the lake but i cant blame the guy it was a huge fish...

I wish I had not asked....  ~xyz That really doesnt make sense ( unless he plans on mouting the fish and making up a good story to go along with it)  :-\    Oh well, there are more in there like that, they are just hard to catch. I put a hook in one out there about 2 years ago at this time of year. I know it was over 10lbs and she just calmly came to the top and rolled like a catfish a couple of times and she was gone...What a rush especially since my PB is a little over 7 lbs.

Really how can you "mount" a fish when you did not even catch it the right way. ~xyz

Finness man

I know it is kinda bad but there is plenty more out there like her..  It is ashamed that he did catch the fish like that though it just is not the same as catching it the right way...

Let's see now.  The right way to catch a bass. ~gf  Rod, Reel, Line, bait, and hook.  Throw it in the water, set the hook.  FISH ON!!!!  Sounds like the right way to me!!!

Besides, didn't Finness Man say the bass was bout to die.   :shocking:

Let the little guy enjoy his catch and perserve the memory by getting it Mounted. ~c~

I dont blame him one bit if i would have caught the fish i would have kept it to.. That is a once in a lifetime deal.. MY personal best is an 8.8 and i kept him so  i dont bloame him at all and yes if the bass would have kept the fis in its mouth it would have died..
